The weather turned over the last few weeks and higher temperatures really pumped up the oil in our Grosso.  The yield was fantastic and we are happily storing the new oil in amber bottles waiting for it to mature.

Charlotte and Keith are our distillation experts. We take the cut lavender to them and they turn the cut Grosso (the flower head and a little stalk) into beautiful oil. Its a simple process: the lavender is put into a big pot, steam is passed through and oil is automatically separated from water . We get our pure unaltered oil and a new product, the beautifully scented hydrosol (a mixture of water with traces of Grosso oil). Watch for this on our new product launch!
